本届摄影大赛是由宾西法尼亚大学中国学生学者联谊会与北京大学校友联谊会联合举办.
我们基于激发在美中国学生的摄影兴趣和发掘优秀摄影作品的目的组织这次大赛, 但愿给
留美华人一个展示个人作品的机会, 并与大家共享美妙糊口瞬间.

所有在美华人学生,洛杉矶华人,学者或在美栖身,工作人员.
奖金:
特别奖 (1名) : $100
一等奖(2名) : $50
二等奖(5名) : $20
三等奖(10名) : $10
鼓励奖（30名) : 证书及其它纪念品.
主题:
题材不限. 欢迎所有反映中国文化, 历史, 天然, 在美华人糊口, 以及人物, 多元社会,
风景等作品.
评审:
由专业摄影人士组成的评审团对每件作品评比, 得分占总得分的75%;
由宾西法尼亚大学的赶兴趣的学生组成的评审团将为作品总得分的剩余25%打分.

The 2004 Photography Competition for Chinese Students and Scholars In America
Mission:
The 2004 Photography Competition for Chinese Students and Scholars In America
is a contest co-organized by two Chinese students organizations at University
of Pennsylvania. The competition aims to develop and raise the public interest
of photography and the visibility of photographic talent among Chinese
students and scholars. Meantime, we provide an opportunity for Chinese
students and scholars to exhibit their artistic work of photography, to share
the moments of their lives, to trace memories in China, to present the beauty
of nature from their personal perspectives and to increase the communication
among amateur photographers.

Calendar:
May 1st � August 15th : Submission of Photographs.
August 15th � September 15th : Selection of Photographs by Jury
September 15th: Announcement of Winners
September 15th � October 15th : Online publication and on site exhibition.
Eligibility:
All Chinese studying or working in America.
Prizes:
Best Feature (1): $100
First Place (2): $50
Second Place (5): $20
Third Place (10): $10
Honorable Mention (30): a gift to be announced (*)
Themes:
All sorts of themes are acceptable:
Life of Chinese in America;
Chinese cultural heritage;
China Memories;
Beauty and Fashion;
Nature and Ecology;
Ethnic Diversity;
etc.
Judging:
Professional photographers will form a judging committee whose evaluation
counts for 75% of the final score of each work. Experts in photography nation
wide (U.S.) have been or will be invited for the judging committee. The other
25% of the scores of each work come from a students' judging committee that is
formed by Penn students who are interested in photography."

All image submissions should be in digital format, and resolution should be
equal to or bigger than 1024 x 768.
Each entrant can submit up to 5 images of the same or different themes.
Each image should be attached with description of the time and location of the
creation of the image.
Each entrant should provide contact address for prize if the work is awarded.
Exhibition:
All winning photographs will be exhibited on U Penn Campus, tentatively in
Graduate Student Center, and online at organizers’ homepage:
http://dolphin.upenn.edu/~cssap1/ and http://dolphin.upenn.edu/~pupa/.
Note:
Organizers reserve the right to publish all images online and exhibit them on
Penn campus, or other places indicated by sponsors.
