Completely new and scared

Well first off my name's Raven, I'm 30, and have been smoking since I was 16. My Grandmother died of Emphazima (not sure if that's the correct spelling) my Grandfather died of lung cancer, and we just found out that my father in law has cancer. I know it's time for me to quit!! And I know that I can't do this on my own, but since my husband's never smoked a cigarrett in his life, he can't really help me. I have not quit yet,quit smoking, but am seriously thinking about it. I've talked to my husband about me quitting in the past, but never sought out help before now. I don't have the money to spend on any aides, so I'm thinking of either doing a gradual or cold turkey quit,stop smoking, if that makes any sense...Anyway I'm here, and I'm open to any advice or suggestions that anyone has.
